Eastern Porirua Outcomes Framework
To know whether Te Rā Nui is helping to create the kind of outcomes that eastern Porirua residents want, Kāinga Ora will track community wellbeing over the next 20-25 years. We have developed an Outcomes Framework to guide the collection of this information across 7 connected kete/outcome areas that are important to the community.
We want to hear what locals think about how eastern Porirua is changing. This will help Te Rā Nui track how the project is contributing to community wellbeing over the large scale project's lifespan.
How did we develop the Community Survey?
Nine talanoa sessions were held in 2023 with youth, older and disabled peoples to better understand what these eastern Porirua community members need to live their best lives.
Alongside information gathered at He Ara in 2019 and the Hui Tahi Tātou o Porirua engagement event in 2023, the talanoa findings have shaped the questions developed for the Eastern Porirua Community Survey. We also consulted with a wide range of community members and organisations to make sure the survey works for the eastern Porirua community.

We will hear your voices through:
- A community survey in eastern Porirua every 4 years, starting February 2024.
- Talanoa/small group conversations with residents and community representatives.
An outcomes report will be published every 2 years to keep Te Rā Nui accountable to the community so eastern Porirua residents can track changes for themselves. You can sign up to our newsletter, visit the Info Hub or check back on this website for published reports.
