We recently submitted resource consent for two smaller development sites along Matahourua Crescent. The consent application will help to provide around 14 whānau with new, warm and dry homes.

Before we start construction, we will need to prepare the site for new public housing. This will include completing earthworks and installing new infrastructure, such as storm and wastewater pipes, electricity and other services.

Below is information on each site.

Dido/Matahourua

We are proposing to build 7 new two-story homes at 16 Matahourua Street and 8-9 Dido Place.

What is the timeline?

All of the dates are approximate and subject to resource consent approval, but the timeline for construction is below:

Resource consent lodged February 2022
Site preparation from mid-2022
Start construction from mid-late 2023
Finish construction from mid-late 2024

Fawn/Matahourua

We are proposing to build seven, two-story homes at 20 Matahourua Crescent and 1 Fawn Street. 

What is the timeline?

Start construction 2023 – 2024
Finish construction 2024
